Steven C. Chang
Attorney
Attorney Steven Chang’s background, experience, and commitment to the local community make him one of the premier elder law attorneys in Honolulu.
Mr. Chang graduated magna cum laude from St. John’s University with a degree in finance. He obtained his law degree from St. John’s three years later, achieving high academic honors there as well. Mr. Chang likes to say that all those lessons in finance taught him how to work well with numbers, and law school taught him how to make the law work for people. These are two essential skills that all elder law attorneys must possess. During his time at the Honolulu Legal Aid Society, he spent much of his time dealing with wrongful foreclosure matters and saw firsthand the tremendous need for thoughtful planning with an eye toward the applicable law. After practicing litigation at a Honolulu law firm, Mr. Chang began laying the foundation for his work at Estate Planning America.
Mr. Chang’s desire to connect with the community in the most meaningful way possible is what makes him stand out from other attorney’s in his field. He cares deeply and understands that clients may have certain difficulties accessing these services. Therefore, he is willing to travel to meet clients in the comfort of their own homes if necessary. He works hard to provide a service that leads to the most beneficial outcomes. His clients very much appreciate his efforts, as do his peers.
He is a member of the American Bar Association (“ABA”) and the Hawaii State Bar Association (“HSBA”). Within those organizations, Mr. Chang belongs to the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the ABA, the Probate and Estate Planning Section of the HSBA, the Elder Law Section of the HSBA.
